Meet Ryan

Introduce your mission

Help someone encountering your organization for the first time understand the work. Start with the people involved, the places you serve, and what you want viewers to know.

Give supporters a closer look

Discuss a film for your website, a supporter event, or a campaign. The audience and setting help shape the conversations and footage the project needs.

Plan around your organization

Share access to locations, participant availability, and any sensitivities around filming. Build the brief around the real work and the people willing to tell its story.

Ryan was professional, attentive to detail and offered suggestions to improve the story we sought to tell.

Before the shoot.

A few useful things to know.

Can we start without a script?

Yes. Send a description of your organization, the audience you hope to reach, and what you want them to understand or do. Include any people, programs, or locations you think should be part of the story.

Can we discuss a film for a fundraiser or supporter event?

Yes. Include the event date, where the film will play, and whether you also need a version for your website or social channels. Ryan can discuss the production scope and timing with you.

What affects the budget for a nonprofit film?

Filming days, locations, the number of participants, production support, and the finished versions all affect the scope. Share your budget range and priorities so Ryan can discuss a suitable approach.

Can filming take place outside Chicago?

Ryan is based in Chicago and has worked throughout the Midwest. Include your locations and any travel requirements when you inquire.
